This course is designed is to provide MA students with a solid foundational knowledge of the core issues in contemporary linguistics, as well as a deeper analysis of the interrelations among disciplines. Our aim is to help students to explore and critically examine the most controversial issues in linguistics be they theories, models, a brief, views, or a linguistic project. At various levels of analytical and evaluative work, the students will be able to learn and apply different categorical, conceptual and content-based frameworks to their majors.
